Are you thinking the workers need to just walk away ?…it will probably cost the same as finishing the job,in my estimation…how will everybody feel then ? We paid we saw we clunkered another deal..sounds like another barge buying fiasco to me..the expert engineers need to be listened to..well ten minutes time saving from London to Manchester for people that can afford to travel on this bullet train it will be worth 100 billion of taxpayers Money…millions of people wont be able to afford these trips..its just for posh people, Have you seen the price of a pedestrian travel on the channel tunnel ? An Elon will get it one day…cheap.then the ex locals,will all chorus,”we sold it cheap”…like the Cornish people say today.. It should be where northern successful people aspire to,the Brighton of the North…but it needs to retain its grandeur and do refurbishment not bulldozement…
