I had taken many university history courses but had never heard of Shaka Zulu until when I was staying in London forty years ago on a visit some of the white South Africans who lived in the house gave me a hourly oral lesson on Shaka Zulu which was amazing. Couldn't believe I had never heard of him.

  15. It seemed that they were also hard to shoot down since the Germans couldn't depress their anti-aircraft guns' trajectory enought to be effective agains these extremely low flying planes.

  17.  @Ugly_German_Truths  Night Witches were an actual name the German forces in Russia gave to the all female unit that used old slow bi- planes to attack. The Germans knew it was them through the sound of their engines and they flew so low that their anti -aircraft guns often had difficult depressing low enough to target them. Obviously they knew through the ones that did crash that only women flew this type of aircraft.

A great topic that I don't believe you have done was how a German Force made up of Soviet ;prisnors of war turned against the Wehmacht at the end of the war when there was a popular uprising against the Germans in Prague and this went over to fight with the Czechs. Unfortunately this good deed did not go unpunished by Stalin.
