@Ugly_German_Truths Night Witches were an actual name the German forces in Russia gave to the all female unit that used old slow bi- planes to attack. The Germans knew it was them through the sound of their engines and they flew so low that their anti -aircraft guns often had difficult depressing low enough to target them. Obviously they knew through the ones that did crash that only women flew this type of aircraft.
