@ralphhinckley4417 If our protection from Covid were as secure as our elections there would be no problem.
9
Give me stats for in person voter cheating - like 31 possible cases in4 billion votes?
9
Well the UK doesn't require it either so blow your mind again.

@ZenyattaFan1 It seems that the Trumpies that voted for their dead mothers were caught, In Massachusetts to vote twenty times in person you would have to go to twenty polling places and impersonate someone already on the rolls and vote before they did.. You would know this would be a problem when they showed up to vote. If this happened a lot it would be a problem but it never happens I have asked poll workers and some in thirty years of this work they can't remember it happening once.. If you voted by mail you somehow would have to know someone's social security number and license number and know the residence this is linked to which is all in a voter data base.. You do have to sign the ballot that can be compared to your registration signature. In any case these things never happen, because if they did it would be obvious since someone would have been notified of voting twice when they didn't. It would be easier to forge a voter id. .If everyone had a voter ID and the Trumpies lost they would claim the ID's were fraudulent.

The Felon in Chief

@Mike-ol7gt As we would say in Blighty what a load of rubbish -you need no photo ID in Wales, England, and Scotland - only in Northern Ireland. From official UK.gov.
5
@insethurdle88 Well my City does send me letters that if I don't return the yearly city census I could be taken off the voting rolls. Aside from this voter rolls are routinely scrubbed for this and other reasons. If you don't fill out an updated census its likely you are deregistered. This is from actual first hand experience that goes beyond Wicki. This is different than you Wicki interpretation. Since your such a big Wicki fan -why don't you go Wicki about the US voter fraud thing. After all you have all this information at your fingertips and still spout the same Trumpie dreck.
4
@bambubi1 Seeing all the recent examples of cheating have been by Trumpies .... easy equation for Trumpies -the fewer people who vote -the better our chances to cling to power. Give some documentation or STFU.
4
@jaybird7140 Owning a firearm is not a real constitutional right - owning firearms for personal defense was rejected by the founders and rejected by the courts for over two hundred years - it became a so called "right" in 2009 because of the profound ignorance of hacks like Alito who didn't even know the real meaning of "right to bear arms".
4
@patricktolman7509 As opposed to the ignoramus, traitor, crook, and liar who grifts millions from his supporters.
4
@Mike-ol7gt Not true go to UK voting site no id required- Typical Trumpie - pulling lies out of his ass.
4
@digitalis2977 Easily manipulated for partisan purposes while not solving any problem. Can create problems while not solving one.
4
Proving your vaccinated has a public health purpose - the only purpose voter id has is for the Republicans to manipulate election with a solution that is in search of a problem. If it ain't broke - don't fix it.
3
@josephcapone2154 Yeah - there has never been a more reasonable public figure than Mango Mussolini as the Republican party degenerates into a fascist personality cult.
3
@chadsorensen4379 I like Mike better when he was a crack head.
3
@cinnamonone4759 And you have to show some ID WHEN YOUR REGISTER TO VOTE.
3
@bidenkidsniffer4926 Your father shouldn't have settled for the cheapest brand.
3
@Mike-ol7gt I don't think you have ever been to the UK.
3
@yournamehere4627 What I am getting at is that Republicans have manipulated the type of id they would accept for partisan purposes. They don't give a crap about free and fair elections, they just want to manipulate elections to give themselves an edge.
3
@hotpockets46 If he would go into retirement and/or concentrate on his myriad of law suits there would be no need to mention him but Trump isn't shutting up like almost all ex presidents but campaigning for another term. Let me tell you the people who really have Trump Derangement Syndrome are those people who think a lying, semi literate gangster, grifter, rapist and multi level traitor should once again be President of the United States. That's real TDS.
3
@keithj9821 All those things aren't constitutional rights - in my state the census is bases on the updated city census for every two years not ten years based on the national census. Voter ID's have been easily manipulated for partisan purposes (is there any other reason the Republicans would push for them) 31 POSSIBLE cases in 4 billion votes doesn't justify any costs or added time. A problem in search of a solution - and even the piddling amount of in person voting fraud is not going to change outcomes. I wouldn't want to call for a recount if there were a handful of problematic votes. You haven't identified one real problem. Go review your Sesame Street tapes about how some things aren't like the other,
3
The rest of us have been voting honestly without an ID for hundreds of years. What problem does voter ID solve?
2
People have registered to vote for hundreds of year without fraud. This is a solution looking for a problem at a wasted cost of millions of dollars either paid by the voters or government. When governments say you can use hunting licenses for id but not student id its just an attempt at voter suppression which is a real problem unlike voter fraud. all those commercial transactions that might need voted id aren't constitutional rights - voting is.
2
@bigmacdaddy1234 Hunting license good ID -Student ID not accepted -who do you guys think you are kidding -its a problem looking for a solution - the real problem that Republicans are a minority party but that's not my problem.
2
@hualni Here's the deal - The Founders thought they would have a protection force live Switzerland and Israel now known as a reserve army. Not about self defense - you might think the Founders were anti-American since they opposed adding that to the Second Amendment - that is why every personal gun rights case based on the Second Amendment failed. It wasn't even a constitutional issue until the 1960's when the NRA started pumping money into law suits. Wasn't until 2010 and Heller that it was a thing. The belief that personal use of firearms came directly from 1792 Amendment is a myth but hold onto it if it makes you feel better. I am not interested with you fact free baloney.
2
@hualni You can make up with any kind of history that you want - and for those like you are sounding off without studying the actual Constitutional convention- that's what it is ignorant pull it out of my ass history. If the founders wanted to include the personal use of firearms in 2A they would have adopted the anti-federalist program, the fact they didn't shows that somehow they thought individual use of firearms for hunting or dueling is ridiculous. There wasn't even a debate about this - the few lawsuits to seek gun rights based on 2A were always upended by the militia language that the courts took seriously. No one even in the old West when guns were routinely confiscated during your stay in a town. ever complained about how it violated their constitutional rights. Never happened..
2
@grayokieh5297 We have been voting in New England for longer than where you're from - match name and address against registration roles- never a problem. I thought you Trumpies hated unnecessary government red tape and "deep state" bureaucracy.
2
@grayokieh5297 You have to establish ID when you register - but doesn't have to be a standard state id. Researches have gone through this for decades- no proof of systematic fraudulent voting by immigrants or anyone else. Go to Wiki and bring up "voter fraud" In my city your registered name is checked against the voter rolls, and you have to complete a city census every two years or your name could be dropped. We have been doing this in New England without problems for hundreds of years. Just because you can think of a problem- that doesn't make it a problem.
2
@chrissheppard5068 Sedition and traitors are Republicans - a criminal fascist organization.
2
@A M The seditionist and traitors all have an R before their names.
2
@chrissheppard5068 Trump is a traitor that in 1860 would be hanging from a sour apple tree.
2
@sinsincere5748 Trump supporters only care about kids from conception to birth.
2
@chadsorensen4379 No Cyber Ninjas were talking a lot about bamboo ballots and MTGreen was talking a lot about Jewish space lasers based on the moon. In my youth I took LSD and even in the most powerful trip I was never as divorced from reality as your are.
2
Not so quick -she is not a Trumpie favorite seeing that she didn't follow the rest of the sheep in voting against the certified Electoral Collage counts.
2
Yeah game the system? You mean like making gun licenses ok and student ID'S not ok? Most the states that are hot to trot for id's have a huge history of voter discrimination so they have a lot of practice.
2
@jaminova_1969 Another bullshit Trumpster myth -name one Rep who campaigned for open borders. Still Waiting.
2
@jaybird7140 The Second Amendment never gave people the right to own firearms for personal protection. Complete bullshit -At the Constitutional Convention there were petitions to do this and they were all tabled or voted down. The 2009 Heller ruling was a radical attack on the Founders intent. By the way the courts affirmed the militia clause for over two hundred and fifty years, You own a gun because a state law says you can.
2
@patricktolman7509 Not as much as Putin;s But Boy,
2
@copperlobo2536 And he was. By over 7 million votes.
2
charles nelson Do they really think someone who couldn't get over 45% approval in any aggregate poll for one day in four years is going to break out with over 50% after screwing up the pandemic?
2
@copperlobo2536 Your lot is the one with the Nazi gear - what are you even talking about. How do you like sleepy Joe now - a bit too woke?
2
You mean like Bobert and Greene?
1
@Redbeard1978 Yup - I put my 100% trust in the biggest liar and com man in history! No fake lame stream news for me.
1
Big difference between Walsh and you Senator. Marty joined the Laborers Union at 21 worked in the trades for eight years until elected president of his union. You went from high school straight to Vanderbilt straight to U Virginia straight to school in England? Wonder where you got all your trade/construction experience? Marty got his BA at 32 as a night/part time student at Boston College.
1
Sorry Hans Brinker - both Britain and the US were voting in local elections years before you and having to get an invitation to vote instead of just being on a list sound crazy to me.
1
@DB-me3jt If there has never been any even minor in person voting fraud the way we have been doing this for over two hundred and fifty years why introduce a solution that has no problem. We have history where such requirements were used to suppress votes from Blacks and other minorities and even though they seem logical to you, it could and does happen, . Hopefully that has not been the experience in the Netherlands.
1
@DB-me3jt It's easy to pick and choose the type of id you will accept. If you think that this id baloney is some sort of Goo goo initiative instead an attempt at voter suppression there's a bridge in Brooklyn..... Still a solution in search of a problem. I have to laugh at these faux "woke" Trumpies.
1
@DB-me3jt ID's have been used in the past as voter suppression tools in the US . Whatever role they play in the bureaucratic imagination of the Netherlands they don't serve any positive role in the US. There is no problem they solve. The people pushing them are the ones that want to suppress the vote. If you have a solution looking for a problem that solution is suspect. Glad it works for you in the Netherlands - but no thanks. Also in a federal state like the US the use of id's and their voter suppression effect can vary a lot state to state. They solve no problem and can do harm.
1
@DB-me3jt When you register you provide proof of residence and then put on the voter rolls at your address.. I have asked poll workers if anyone has tried to vote using the address of someone else and they said that this never has happened to them. This attempt at in person voting fraud is exceedingly rare, as many academic research studies have attested. If it ever did happen it would not be a problem to pull the bogus vote and change the totals. What you should understand is the people who want voter ID in the US want just another way to suppress voting by an imposing a hurdle that could easily be manipulated for partisan purposes. This has been done in the past in the US. Voter ID is a solution looking for a problem.
1
Hans Yuller If they have served their debt to society why not? It's the states call but I would back it especially for non violent felons.
