@jakelloyd3993 By 2013 the so called "Great Recession "was long gone and the stock market was higher than its pre 2008 highs. Trump inherited Obama's good economy and he coasted on it. Right now the unemployment is was under anything it was under Trump. Trump's induced trade wars was a fiasco which still has consequences. Trump was an ignoramus about the economy like everything else -but the art of the grift. Your wage stats are incomprehensible. He constantly tried to goose the market short term which any economists will tell you is crazy. Seeing he go splattered in the election, his great successes didn't seem to impress most of the people, and he hardly even ran on your claims.

@jakelloyd3993 We are never "energy independent' - supply and demand is based on world prices. Under Trump manufacturing actually decreased and when people actually examined all the facilities that he claimed he was going to put on line - never happened. You kind of don't know how the economy works since in the short term any President has a limited ability to control it. if you say that our economy is in shambles with the lowest unemployment in forty years, that kind of says it all. One reason Biden had to fight to get more gas in the market was the oil companies are sitting on hundreds of leases and they feel they can make more money limiting output. Trump hired a lot of low credentialed people since his main criteria is not competence but loyalty. Even then it was a revolving door. I worked in finance for forty years and the country's economy has always been better with Democrats in charge. That's not asinine- that's history.

@jakelloyd3993 I don't think oil and gas companies spend millions on what they know are dry wholes. There are thousand of leases that the oil companies aren't bothering to develop. Those pipelines oil wasn't going to be retained by some US government slush fund set aside for only US use. You really don't know how things work - which is typical of Trumpsters.
