This is no big deal - Jews in show business until regularly recently often adopted anglicized stage names. Many more Jews treated her name choice as more of an homage rather than an appropriation. Unlike Michael Richards, she never claimed she was Jewish.

You could serve in the German army if you had one Jewish grandparent. In a case like Ernst Milch.
