@klangartberlin Anyone who follows developments on the front in Ukraine (with right mind) can't deny that Ukrainian professional solders fight well (at least those who survived long enough to gain some experience). Forced conscripts , on the other hand , not so much , they just die , or , if they have a chance , they surrender (they don't have the training (often . they aren't equipped properly) and they didn't chose, or wanted to be there). Conscripts make more than 60% (some analysts claim more) of what is left of Ukrainian military . No one can deny courage of the people who go forward , for an example , in Ryabotine , or on the left bank of Dnepr , near Kherson , knowing that there is 90% chance they will not come out of there. Not because they can't fight well , but because they don't do too much shooting , but rather , they are faced with drones , artillery , missals , electronic warfare , air power , which they don't have enough to mach the opponent (and in some cases , they don't have it at all).
Western help , in terms of weapons and finances has came down , from a flood to trickle. NATO countries have very little (if anything significant) to give to Ukraine , in terms of weapons (and Russians are still ramping up production of weapons , with lots of improvements and innovations) and financial help (besides basic maintenance of government) never reached people where it was needed (Ukraine was and stil is , the most corrupt country in Europe). Most of it has been split between "the sponsors" and Ukrainian rulers (both official and unofficial). Material , humanitarian help from the west is being , mostly , sold to the local people , instead of distributing it for free. Overall , it is completely different situation , than it was one year , or even six months ago . You can see on Telegram channels (both Ukrainian and Russian) what is going on over there and not just on the front - from a first hand (ordinary soldiers and people).
If you take your information from the TV news and believe it - you are very naive. Ukraine has lost the war and even if it will take year , or so , to stop shooting and mass dying - it is a fact. Ukraine is running out of man (and women !?) power , weapons and , most importantly , ammunition. There is new show on the TV - Israel/Palestine war and the internal fighting (mostly political , so far , even there were some high profile assassinations) in the Ukraine has started. Poland has blocked border crossings with Ukraine. Winter is coming. Ukrainian infrastructure is devastated and will be even more in the near future (both energy and road/train).
It is not a matter of cheer leading , those are facts. Every normal person wishes that people stop violently and unnecessary dying . Anyway , How do you think that Ukraine can "win" this war , when they couldn't take over most of the Donbass in eight years , even though they did had help from some NATO countries and USA in particular ?
