  1. Dima is very good in collecting the reports and weeding out propaganda , but he analyzes things from tactical level and sometimes he makes mistakes , like not seeing forest behind the tree. Ukrainian operations on the left bank of Dnepr river have no consequence at all on Russian plans , in fact , those are working in their favor (one of the major Russian goals of the SMO is annihilation of Ukrainian armed forces). Even if Ukrainian forces develop their foothold at Krimky (or whatever the spelling is correct , for that place) , where would they go and with what ? There is more than 100 km (in a strait line) to the most western edge of Crimea and some 120 000 , to 150 000 Russian soldiers (I mean , between Kherson and Crimea and front line up north) , with more fire power than Ukraine can ever muster (and the western help is dying out) , never mind the defensive fortifications and working logistics. Ukraine is spent in the fresh man power (or women power , since they draft them now) and , surely , with materials and arms (all sorts). Small tactical victories of Ukrainian forces (I mean , since the beginning of the "great spring/summer counteroffensive ") , in territorial terms , are nullified by losses on different parts of the front and dearly payed in loses of all kinds. Soon Avdeevka will fall , which will collapse whole Ukrainian defense on the eastern part of the country (left bank of Dnepr , belov the Kharkov ). It would take some months to be done , but it is inevitable. Of course , some more Russian solders will die too (and even more will get wounded) and some civilians in Donetsk , but , it will happen. The best thing Ukrainians could do now , is to ground in the bastards that put them in this situation (since they can't reach western "sponsors") and ride them for over 30 years (while they still have weapons) and make peace with Russia (which won't be pleasant at all , but they will get to save more lives) . Also they should look out of what Poland might do in the west of Ukraine (they certainly wouldn't come there to help Ukrainian state/country).

  2.  @georgewilliams514  Well , I'll answer your rhetorical question - who the enemy is. The enemy is the same as it was from the dawn of organized societies - that would be the people with lots of power and leverage over most of the other people. To be able to understand particular conflicts and events , you really have to know history of that particular place , pretty much in detail. To explain it really simple , in this case , it would be anyone who profits from those deaths , which includes financiers and instigators of this mess , which are 99% western political and financial powers (there are some people from different places who have invested interests in the arms production and world market influences , besides the ones with "god syndrome"). Basically , any type of globalists. Ukrainian authorities (corrupt as hell and installed by neocons and intelligence services , backed by US tax payers money) are bearing , at the moment , most of the guilt , because they know (as well as their puppet masters) that this is lost for Ukraine and they know it for months now (and looking for off ramp) , while people still die in masses. Even though it seems that war is going on at full scale (looking from outside of the field) it is over , but yet have to be finished , similar like everybody knew , in late 1943 , that German axes (by that time with Japan and some small group of vassals) is done (after Stalingrad) , but it took two more years and some 19 million lives more (and two nukes , which were aimed at Soviets at the time) to be properly done. This will last for months and many lives more , until it collapses onto itself (I mean Ukrainian structures , both military and political and social). In the meantime , we have other distractions (very convenient timing) in the middle east and there are many more "spare" regions in the world to do the same.
