  3. I see you like empires , but it's not that simple. Mr Trump , in his first term , hasn't been able to finish "the wall" , never mind the other things he said he would do (some things he did , like abolishing "Obama care" law and somewhat boosting up US economy). Now , this imperial stuff could get support from within , even with his opponents , because empire is living of of chaos , military spending , subduing other countries/people to their own will and needs and exploiting them (or just perverted wishes , without sense , or benefit , since ruling class is a bit deranged). At this point , Republican party has majority in both houses , but well see how it will go in midterm elections and majority of republicans (with any function , I mean) are called uni-party members and they are neocons . Democrats seeded the "land mines" for him , wherever they could (internally and externally). This means , whatever he wants to achieve will depend on how the establishment perceives it (is it good , or bad for them). They WILL try to control him and his choices for key people say that he underestimates power in shadows (for illustration purposes : in his forst term , he DID ordered US troops to be withdrawn from Syria , but they said yes and didn't do anything (it was just before the elections)) . As for Greenland , he can take it , but Greenlanders aren't too happy about that , just like with Denmark . Nobody wants to live in a colony . Kids that you've pu on are just kids , without grasp of politics and geopolitics , influenced by social networks and TV. Adults think differently (most of them -I saw an interview with one of the common native people from Greenland). Buying proposal was , as I see it , directed to Denmark , not to the people of Greenland (and the proposition you've made , about getting a $ million per capita for selling their land/country , is also preposterous - how much are the minerals and other raw materials worth and land mass on the north ocean , towards future trading route ?). However , he can do it "for free" , militarily , because there is no one to challenge him (well , no one that cares). On Canada issue , well , it's up to Canadians , but I doubt they will be very welcoming to the idea (at least majority) , but they can speak for themselves. For sure Quebec wouldn't appreciate the idea. Maybe I'm wrong , but I doubt it. Panama canal will not go easy , because , there are new trading powers in the world. There are , also , ideas for a new canal trough Guatemala , or thereabouts and that would be built by Chinese . In reality , Trump has (if he finishes his term) four years to do everything he says he want to do , but I strongly doubt that it is possible. He can have impact internally , with Elon's help , but do not forget the power of deep state - some of the agencies he wants to reorganize/remove are their main tools for enabling their agenda. Bear in mind , that US is deeply divided country , on multiple levels. Those things would be hard to achieve even with pretty cohesive nation , but with this state of affairs there , it would be "mission impossible" , in my opinion. Just because of time needed for any change to catch on , either legally , or with people . About energy , well , it is a wishful thinking. Yes US has enormous natural reserves of oil and gas , but the people who are running that business , kind off , really like to minimize potential problems (in a sense of regulations and taxes) and to maximize profit (people outside US do the drilling business for much less money than Americans do). Those oil people , also , want to be sure , that they will do business without any problems , or distractions in future , for a long , long time , before they invest billions and billions in that business. Of course , before everything , Mr Trump will have to pass the adequate laws and , I believe , that would not always go very smooth . I mean , just making US military "stronger" would take decade , or more , according to Col Macgregor and he doubts that US military can grow much in size. Also , the guy is pretty old (his brain , so far , works , even he is an ego-centric narcissistic maniac ) and has some wrong presumptions (like he will force Russia , or China to do something he wants , or he will sanction them , or whatever ...). He is pretty unpredictable , but also , he can be influenced by the people that surround him , especially if he himself , doesn't know much about given subject. He wants to "force" America to be great again , but it is not how it works. Personally , I doubt that he will finish his term , if he tries really hard and seriously to "rearrange" the establishment and their creations (since decades) , or , at least , he will be stuck in internal politics (externally , Americans are never stuck, m because whenever they mess up , which they do regularly . they just pick up and leave on their own continent). He will try to undermine BRICKS and he may be partially successful , but he underestimates how fed up people are wit USA. It has to be said , if he moves to make extremely large and powerful empire , we may witness some hot wars all over (hopefully , not a nuclear one) , because , there are new (old) powers in existence , which would look at those attempts , just like GB did on a Hitler - he was all right (making barrier to USSR) as long as he didn't get too powerful and to challenge old powers (which he wanted to). Anyway , I don't see immediate benefits of him being president of USA , for people of USA , or for broader international community. There will be some gestures and surprises alng the way , but he is not an angel and as for Europe , they are in real trouble now (GB will do as they're told to do - nothing specially good for it's citizens). All of this isn't not even the tip of the iceberg - I mean , serious and experienced analytic experts are debating these issues for months now and we don't have proper predictions yet.
