  2. ​ @ktoto1209 I'm from Shanghai, you will be very much struggling trying to live on 4000 yuan a month (~$600 per month). Shanghai is very expensive to live in. You need to make at least 10000 yuan a month ($1500) to have any kind of decent living.

Try live in shanghai on 2000 yuan, you will share 1 room with 3 other people and have nothing to eat but instant noodle and plain buns, and even that will probably cost your more than 2000 yuan a month inside shanghai. Like I said, you need about 10000 yuan a month just to have your own place and decent (barely middle class) life style.
