  1. I’m not on any side of the Atlantic. Nor am I a fan of Fox News other than to say that in aCNN/Fox News comparison, the latter commonly has a wider perspective, and the NYT has become much more partisan than it was. . My worry is that in focussing on BIden v Trump thé éléphant in the room is ignored. Both men are quite bizarre in their different ways, and entertaining and exasperating by turns. The issue is thé state of the Democratic Party. It’s self-perception of ‘ownership’ of certain groups translates to sloganistic pandering while ignoring real problems. This, together with the huge and increasing divisions in the party, does not serve them well. Both men in their personal lives may or may not be decent, credible assertions to the contrary regarding both notwithstanding, however the energy and column inches spent on the now discredited Russiagate allegations, have crowded out ongoing corruption allegations against BIden and his family members, that may in the next few weeks get a hearing.
