  1. Hi Goobie, living with someone new is one of the hardest things to do, that's why so many reality tv shows are based on putting strangers under one roof 24-7. From my perspective (and I can be totally off base), there are many factors that caused the relationship to be hurt. You, your wife, your bro-IL are all going through some major changes in your lives, you're trying to heal yourself, getting used to all the attention you're receiving, and starting a new self-employment. There will be a good outcome from your honesty only if your bro is ready to listen, accept and work with you. Your positivity also comes from a place of love. You were practicing loving your bro and accepting him as he is, and sometimes at your own expense because we all make sacrifices for love. There's no easy answer.
