@brucek4524 He referenced the book of Hebrews which means he's speaking about the New Testament
3
0:39 ~ Where does the Tanakh talk about the sacrificial system ending?
2
@ But he doesn't believe that he's not Christian, hence the question, where does he get the idea that the sacrificial system ended because I haven't seen it in the Old Testament, perhaps he refers to Jewish Tradition or something else for that
2
@brucek4524 He's reffering to John 8:24 (NKJV): "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins." So if anything he's "educating the Jews" about his own religion not the other way around
2
@Workingman-ww3lw Yeah, repentance unlocks the nous so we may participate in the glory that the Father and the Son have John 17:22-23 "The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me."

Where do you get your information about Jesus if you don't mind me asking?
2
@RyanODay-tl7ui Which Law is the question
1
@ Perhaps tell me the honest interpretation?
1
@ I wasn't disagreeing with you I wanted clarity I'm an Orthodox Christian I know the differences in the laws and that they were fulfilled meaning their telos is in Christ
1
Jesus is God, why is that not the obvious first answer
1
@bradbradbury8561 That verse is saying that the sacrificial system ended? or did I miss that part? I'm not disputing that the Covenant will renewed according to Judaism (which I don't follow) It just sounds like he's admitting something potentially problematic for his theology particularly if we are in the Messianic age or not, if we are, where is the Jewish Messiah, is he too shy to show up or somehing
1
@jcdefeats I get that, but he's Jewish, where does he get the idea that the sacrifical system is done, maybe he misspoke maybe he meant to say the temple is destroyed but where he gets the idea that the sacrificial system is gone is interesting

@Workingman-ww3lw 🙏

This is a vague question, but to answer, God defines Christianity, the Crucifixion and Resurrection are distinctions of the whole
1
@KM-qh6el What criteria are you using to judge what "starting a new religion" is? For example if Christ taught that he is He and Paul taught the same thing did Jesus and Paul start a new religion or just Paul.
1
You're using the quote asychronously, you use earlier verses as a "response" to later verses, in what world does that make sense?
1
@ You're using Mathew to say Jesus ""responds" to the later events that happen, you're trying to make sense of things asynchronously
1
@ryanrestivo4270 No I'm saying that the context for the verse and the events you propoert to be a response is asynchronous it's like if I took a clip of you speaking about not liking the blacks (A New Zealand Rugby team) then me saying look, he says he doesn't like blacks he responded to to me when I said he likes black, he reponded with "I don't like Blacks" The context and the order don't mix
