  1. I have a 2001 Avalon XLS with 199,xxx miles on it. It is still buttery smooth. Just changed the front struts and replaced them with KYBs and the handling is smooth and tight. I just love driving this thing. I have some issues with the rear tail lamps not coming on and was told that replacing the light switch stalk on the steering column will solve my problem. However, a new one cost $160 from Toyota. I might try sourcing one from a junk yard.
