  1.  @jonathanip7882  I will concede that I may have gotten a few of the details wrong. Ultimately, it boils down to this. If China chooses not to abide by the agreement with the UK, what is the UK going to do about it? Send in her troops! Do the Brits have the fortitude to engage with China in this manner? When you have a bull in a china shop, who can stop it? Whose lives are you willing to sacrifice?

  2. Carrie Lam did not even believe the words she uttered! What responsibilities does the UK have towards Hong Kong? UK has already washed its hands of Hong Kong when the UK handed Hong Kong back to China in 2000!
