This is one of the most thorough ass kickings I've ever seen. It is also one of the finest, if not THE finest, displays I've ever seen of an experienced, brutal guy who LOVES to fight, who's a legend in the ring, schooling someone with a superior body with an inexperienced head. I actually felt bad for Moore. Duran never lost his tremendous right hand as he moved up in weight. What he did lose was the ability to land it effectively. When he destroyed Moore, it pissed off Moore's buddy, Iran Barkley. Barkley wanted Duran real bad. But his style, and Moore's style, are exactly what Duran wants in an opponent. It's not a coincidence that he floored Moore, and then Barkley. Barkley was more experienced than Moore, and gave Duran a bit more trouble. Those who disagree about Duran's right hand power, take a look at the Moore knockdown. Duran hit him so hard, Moore slid a couple feet backwards after Duran sat him flat on his ass. The only reason Leonard lost to Duran was because he fought the same way as Moore and Barkley. They're ALL mighty lucky they didn't run into a 26 year old Duran......

First body shot KO I ever saw was some poor lightweight. Roberto Duran threw one intense body shot, and down went his opponent. Didn't get up, either. But the worst one I ever saw was in Saginaw, Michigan. Back in the early 80s, Earnie Shavers fought some young guy there. My dad and I went to see it. Good seats, maybe 5 rows back. Shavers was on the downside of his career at this point, but he still had that tremendous right hand. After a round or 2, maybe (its been almost 40 years) they were both throwing punches at the same time. When the young guy hit Earnie, it sounded like "pop, pop, pop-pop". But when Shavers hit him, wow-It was a very loud Wap, Wap, Wap. The young guy hit Earnie maybe twice as much, but Earnie's punches were driving the poor guy all over the ring. Finally, WAP!!! The young guy went down like someone had cut a trap door in the canvas!!! Shavers hit him with that huge right hand in the side of the body. Poor guy, I felt sorry for him, as he just rolled from one side to the other in terrible pain, and was counted out. He'd probably never taken a shot like that in his life!! I remember Sly Stallone wanting to see how hard a Heavyweight hit. He asked Earnie to show him what he had. So Earnie did. Stallone went down, got up, and went to the men's room and puked his guts out for at least 5 minutes!!!!

Ray Arcel and Freddie Brown always maintained that there were two types of Duran fights. One type was a fight Duran took for a mandatory fight, and the second was one he was motivated for, one he really wanted. Duran was pissed in both the first Leonard fight and in this one. He was insulted before both fights. In the Leonard fight, he got only 30% of the $$$$$$ that Leonard did. Plus, Leonard was the favorite. If Duran had fought the 2nd fight with Leonard the same as the first, he would've won that one, too. Wouldn't matter what Leonard did. Duran would've gone inside with such fury, Leonard couldn't have kept him away. But he had no motivation when compared to the first fight. Same with Moore. He was super motivated due to shit talk from Moore and took it out on Moore. Same with Barkley. When he took Barkleys title, he was almost 38 years old and 25lbs over his prime weight. Think about that for a moment. Now think of this; imagine if Duran would've been at 135lbs-140lbs, 25 years old, and Leonard or Barkley challenged him at that weight. Duran had everything. Offense, maybe even better defense, a great chin, and tremendous stamina. The only thing he didn't have was a long reach. Arcel once said people dont realize that after around the 7th round, Duran somehow "got a second wind, and could go like Hell." I saw a few guys hang with him for 6 or 7 rounds, but his opponents just couldn't keep up the furious pace.

Baseball isn't the only game of inches. Boxing can be, too. In this fight, Hearns stunned Hagler early in the 1st round. The punch that did it glanced off top of Marvin's head. It also broke Hearns right hand. If that punch had landed on Marvins jaw, the fight was over. Instead, it kind of crippled Hearns, and the fight was over less than 9 minutes later. Taking nothing from Marvin, because, in my opinion, he was the greatest MW in my lifetime, which is 71 years. But can you imagine the guts it would take to get in the ring with Hagler, then imagine fighting him with one hand?!! Kudos to Hearns, who still kept throwing the right hand, but it had no impact after that. When Hearns KOd Duran, he showed me he could KO anyone, including Hagler. But that punch missed Marvins jaw by several inches. Hagler knew Hearns had tremendous power in that right hand. Why? Because he knew he was stunned by it, probably for the only time in his career. Hearns always wanted a rematch, but Marvin obviously did not. When asked how his broken hand was doing a couple of months after this fight, Hearns replied, "Fine, I'm saving it for Marvins Head!"

Let me start this by saying I'm white. If the police did this to me, I'd retain an attorney and sue the living bejesus out of this ridiculous "police" department. When the police break the law, there is no law. This guy in no way deserved to be tazed and assaulted. He was tazed by one officer, rendering him defenseless, flat on his back, and the other officer decided to repeatedly punch him in the face, over and over. Fire these morons, ferchrissakes!!! I'll bet if they had pulled over one of their own sons or daughters, whether they thought they smelled Marijuana, or not, there'd have been NO assault, or tazer. These to PIGS make me sick......

Another classic example of the government failing the citizens that they are elected by to do their jobs. WAY too much government by the people, and damn little of it, if any, for the people!!! But our elected officials are far more concerned with arguing with each other, trying to persecute former presidents so his political career will be in the toilet, and making sure they get plenty of "recesses", i.e. vacation time. They must be damn good jobs. Why else would pokaloski Pelosi still be, ahem, hard at work (in the nail salon) in her 80s, instead of being at home with her grandchildren??? Answer: Dire Straits made a song of her job: Money for nothing, and your kicks for free.... 😥😥😥

@nyarkasewe2363 WAY to many are! Many of these kids think this shit is a video game in real life. Except thieves in video games don't bleed, or take an innocent life. This stuff has been going on since the 70s, eh? To those who think the youth of America are not degenerating, ask yourself a question: How many of your classmates were shot to death in the 1960s? Didn’t think so. Well then, how many of your classmates were shot to death in the 1970s? That's what I thought. How about the 1980s? Yup, that's what I figured. OK, how many assault rifles, or any type gun, did you see on campus in those decades? Right, I saw none, either. I'm a gun owner. But told my kid not to worry about a damn thing if the cops come to our house looking for him. But he better start worrying when they leave, because Ill wail his ass but good! It starts at home!!! We have some parents whose genitals should've been removed at a young age, if we only knew which ones would be poor parents. Probably 75% of parents should've never tried raising, ahem, a "family!!"

Yup, if you watch it again, not only Atlas told him what NOT to do, but Gil Clancy, who once managed and trained Foreman, had commented earlier he didn't like the way Moorer was moving. He said Moorer had everything going his way when he moved to his right (GFs left), but Clancy saw when Moorer changed his attack, and he started moving to his left (GFs right), right into Foremans most powerful punch, he was not nearly as effective. Although Foreman has a Helluva left hook, too......

There is a total lack of respect for other people, and a total lack of respect for the law. Laws are made for a reason. This country, once it is finally ruined, and everything all of our ancestors worked so hard for, fought and died for, will have nobody to blame but its own citizens. I have never felt so sorry for the hard working, honest people of this country. The laws are made for criminals, and the criminal justice system isn't broken, it has imploded. Imagine being a cop, risking your life to arrest a person commiting a felony, then see him out on the street in only a year, or two. The criminal justice system has benefitted the Judges, Lawyers, and last, but not least, the criminals themselves....
