Why cope? The Center Block won a majority.

15%, most of it as protest vote. People don’t vote AFD because they agree with them, but because they disagree with the other parties. Not a good sign, but the AFD is still a fringe party with shaky support besides east Germany.

Nuclear energy is the most expensive form of energy, and you require Uran imports, so you are not independent. Take Hickleypoint C of (or the new French reactor): they need decades to build them and tens of billions, paid by public money. On the other hand, renewables are now build without public money because the have a great return on investment. Companies actually pay countries for the right to build renewables now.

@giuseppegiovani2748 nuclear power is not the cheapest in the long term. When Hickley point C will go into service, it will significantly increase the costs for electricity in the Uk. Furthermore, check the main exporters for uranium ore. Kazakhstan has a market share of 46%. Not exactly an allied country.

Russia has already invaded Europe (Ukraine is part of Europe).

@georgesdelatour support the deportation of native citizens to Africa if they disagree with you (AFD) Defending Germanys history 33-45 (AFD as well)

@giuseppegiovani2748 France is a perfect example of the opposite. They had massive electricity problems due to faulty reactors, they had to turn of most of their plants and relied on German renewables and coal. Furthermore, it is now tradition that French reactors have to be turned of in summer, as the rivers become to hot. Last but not least (to stay with France), electricity is cheap because the company is running at a deficit.

@giuseppegiovani2748 yes. But this was not planned maintenance. It was an emergency shutdown as the structural integrity of the reactors was in question.
