@comradeking4427 Russia has the GDP of Italy while more than double the population. 20% of its population has no indoor plumbing. Life expectancy of Russian men is one of the worst in Europe. The EU promises wealth, freedom, sovereignty. What does Russia has to offer to the population of other countries?

@comradeking4427 i know that Putins buddies are rich, while the rest of the country is poor. That is the reason why half of the Russian population under 30 wants to leave.

As Ukraine and Turkey show, EU membership is only the last step of a long staircase to economic alignment. There are several steps in between, open to Moldova as well, quickly achievable: a Free trade agreement, a custom Union, a SPS agreement…

@physiocrat7143 what makes you think this is EU exclusive? If you would have been in the US, UK, Australia, Switzerland, every place demands customs and fees. But with the Eu and its many FTAs, there is no other place in the world you can order from so many places custom free.
