@nydydn already happening. Medical equipment made in Switzerland is now not covered anymore, full custom checks apply, as well as certification. Swiss stockmarket not recognised in the EU anymore. Swiss participation in EU research project will end. The second the EU introduces new regulations in one area, this area will not be covered by the bilaterals anymore. P

No, as the old agreements have to be updated constantly to stay in force. Already Swiss market access is being reduced, no more easy access. Swiss medical equipment to the EU market

@fabiansaerve no. The current agreements have to be updated constantly (with every new EU regulations) to stay in force. As this process is now stopped, Swiss will lose access to the EU market piece by piece with every new Eu regulation. Swiss stockmarket already lost access, now medical equipment does.

Le Pen said she wants France to stay both in the Euro and EU. Keep up to date.

@biocapsule7311 The Swiss stock market already lost access to the EU market. 26th of May the Mutual Recognition Agreement for Medical Devices ceased to apply, too. This is not a theoretical discussion, it is a process already happening. Two big ones already gone.

@Slithermotion Africa’s GDP is equal to France. How long do they have to grow to even become equal to Germany? And trade is always a function of market size divided by distance. Asia and Africa will not grow so fast too compensate for loss of EU trade.

@biocapsule7311 You misunderstood. The agreements have to be constantly renegotiated to stay in force, by every piece of new EU legislation, the corresponding Swiss-EU treaty ceases to apply, reducing Swiss market access to the EU.
