  1.  @paulhk2727  Russian media is only reaching the older generations. The younger ones inform themselfs via the internet and are mostly out of reach for the state propaganda. They also have other issues like the dire economic situation Russia is in, and have no interest suffering for Putin.

  3. China has huge investments in Ukraine which are now threatened. Furthermore, regions separating from their homecountry sets a precedent for Taiwan China doesnt like.

  4.  @mohsinrasul8450  Why does Russia not want to join the Ukraine? Rus was formed around Kiev, so it makes historic sense that Russia subdues to the nation where its culture originates from.

  6. There are two, I repeat, two NATO countries bordering Russia (excluding Kalingrad): Latvia and Estonia. Tiny countries, bordering a little of the North western border of Russia. There are 10 (or 11? Doesnt really matter) countries bordering Russia. Not even 10% of the Russian border are shared with NATO countries. How is this surrounding, if the whole southern and eastern side has no NATO countries, and only a tiny bit of the western side? If you want to see a country surrounded, look at what Russia does to Ukraine.

  10.  @iamcleaver6854  Which I heavily disagree with. Russians may be ethnic Ukrainians, considering Rus was formed around Kiev. So Russia should subdue to Ukraine, if we follow this logic.

  15.  @purpledevilr7463  Out of interest, how many Russians do you know? For my part, I married into a Russian family, who thinks Putin is the devil. I also follow the news of numerous protests in Russia against Putin.
