  1.  @josephman1488  Boeing is not the only airplane manufacturer in the world, it is not even the largest. With Airbus, the world would keep flying.

  3.  @josephman1488  I agree that there will be little need for innovation if Airbus would become a monopolist. But it does not require competition to exist and make money.

  4.  @TheRedc0met  China can build quality if they want to. Furthermore, a lot of essential parts of the C919 are from western suppliers, same quality like Airbus or Boeing for those parts.

  5.  @josephman1488  that is not a reason. Companies without competition existed through time. Why would Airbus fail without competition? Why would it disappear?
