  2.  @manumanitas161  Russia will struggle taking the cities, and moral, in the troops and at home, is already low. While Russia has for certain the military capability to win, this will be decided by Russias economy and public support. And at least the economy is tanking badly. And public support is non existent (they do not even know what is happening), and may turn against the regime once the bloodbath of urban warfare starts.

  3. Europe disagrees. Especially NATO allies like the Baltics, Romania or Poland. This is directly at their border. Europe is the west. 2014, the annexation was far less violent. Now Russia is bombing hospitals (confirmed by the WHO). See the difference?

  5. Reports from Belarus before the invasion were of Russian soldiers selling Diesel. So maybe the supplies expected were not there anymore? Furthermore, a misconception of Russia was that Ukraine would more or less surrender immediately, even welcome Russian army. They did not expect to have to fight.

  6. But why give the enemy such a moral boost? Especially as moral is key in urban warfare? Furthermore, Russia was dependent on taking Ukraine quickly, before the west really started sanctions. If Russia would have taken Ukraine by Sunday, the west would have cared much less. It is the heroic Ukrainian residence fueling and pressuring western government to support Ukraine and weaken Russia.

  10.  @hadidsyahputra3331  I didn’t want to attack you. But from what we observe (Russia sending conscripts not knowing where they are, running out of fuel, Russian news announcing victory on Sunday) I doubt they planned for this.
