@kenbrown2808 may I quote from Boeing 737 Max groundings, Wikipedia: 2018, November 10, Boeing referred publicly for the first time to the MCAS by name in a Multi Operator Message to operators.[64][65][66] The MCAS control law, a few lines of software code in the FCC, could autonomously command nosedives, when even a single sensor failure resulted in bad data; MCAS was omitted from aircraft manuals and training,[67] therefore flight crews had no knowledge of its existence or functioning until Boeing published a bulletin on November 6.

@kenbrown2808 A solution is worthless if you do not tell anyone, and as you correctly stated, Boeing intentionally did not tell the pilots that MCAS even existed.

@kenbrown2808 The training was not mandatory for a critical system. So Boeing failed. This is not propaganda, but fact.

@kenbrown2808 it was not an unforced error. 1. A critical system relying on only one sensor is a no go in aviation, and not an unforced error, but a decision to be made to cut costs 2. Excluding MCAS from the manual was not an unforced error, but a decision to, again, cut costs 3. Lying to the FDA about the role of mcas was also not an unforced error.

@kenbrown2808 I presented you a quote to back my claim. Can you back yours with a source? If not, I think we can part ways, with prove that Boeing did indeed not include mcas in the manual. But if you don’t believe me, just google the congressional hearing of the FAAs acting administrator.

@kenbrown2808 the publication date is missing? How convenient. May it be that it was after the two crashes?

@kenbrown2808 the minutes of the congressional hearing of the FAAs acting administrator can be edited by anyone?
