@bujin1977 If the UK does not pay it can forget its credit rating... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2018/09/14/uk-credit-rating-risk-fails-pay-brexit-bill-moodys-warns/

And other universities are looking forward to getting rid of the British competition and getting a bigger piece of that pie...

You call the EU, an Union of sovereign nations where it takes nothing more than a letter to leave, with the UDSSR, which grow by military power and conquering and suppressed its people? Do you have no historical awareness at all? Your comment is an insult to anyone who suffered from the communist dictatorship.

In theory the UK can withdraw article 50 on October 31th and Brexit would be stopped.

@randomdaveUK Depends how the markets react. If they are in panic mode and the UK economy tanks, the government might have no choice. It is more of a theoretical thought of what is possible.

It is a question of distribution. A Tory government has no interest to support a Labour constituency. The EU does not care, it gives the money to the regions which require it, not caring for its political orientation. And it is much more efficient and professional, too.

@stuartnicklin650 Evidence please. US Congress said no, both Democrats and Republicans. The Irish Lobby is really powerful in the USA. https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-britain-eu-pelosi/u-s-british-trade-pact-wont-pass-congress-if-good-friday-deal-harmed-pelosi-idUSKCN1V419I

@MrNukedawhales Mass unemployment. Pound Dollar 1:1. UK`s credit rating going down, capital fleeing the country. Not the current slow decline, but a crash and burn. A brutal, unforgiving, undeniable disaster that not even Johnson et al. can ignore.

CAP actually evolved the last decades, but Brexiters are still stuck in how it was 20 years ago...

That would be 30 videos, as this is national law, not EU law.

@MrNukedawhales Not enough. It still can be ignored. I do not disagree with you that the damage done is already severe, but the direct effect on the people is still below the point where they connect the dots. Frustrating for everyone who is a little aware of what is going on (you and me included), but it takes a lot more to wake up the majority.

And a good part of UK`s international trade goes through Rotterdam, which has more capacity than the three biggest UK ports combined. Where is the replacement for this infrastructure? http://www.worldshipping.org/about-the-industry/global-trade/top-50-world-container-ports
