  1. That is the reason why Canada or Japan have no interest in a trade deal in case of no deal. The UK said it will have no tariffs on almost all of its imports, so there is no incentive to give the UK free access to your market if you already got what you want.

  2.  Carlos Saraiva  You are referring to WTO MFN rules I suppose. Yes, it is illegal to discriminate between trading partners, unless you have a Free Trade Agreement or a Custom Union with them.
