  1. Germany is used to get insulted by the UK right wing media. They will just ignore it, as always. What I find fascinating is that other countries where Germany massacred the population are rather friendly towards it. Poland, Russia, they have every right to remember the crimes committed against them (and often enough do), but no comparison to the fetish of the UK press with the second world war. What is build over decades can be destroyed in weeks. Brexit shows it. And I fully agree: the reason isnt that Johnson, Cummings and Farage are so strong and clever, but that the opposition is so weak. LibDems, Labour, they equally only care for the next election (similar to Johnson), and would prefer hard Brexit to losing just one seat. The whole political class is pathetic.

  2. It is illegal under WTO and makes exports a nightmare. If you import raw material, refine them and then want to export, you need your custom declaration documents of the raw material for rules of origin. If you do not have the required documents, you are unable to export. So UK manufacturing depending on exports (car industry as the prime example) will die.

  3. As long as they are able to blame someone else they get away with it. That is how Putin or Erdogan managed to keep public support (next to an oppressive police state).
