The UK does not meet the democratic requirements for becoming a member of the EU. It would need to reform itself massively (replacing the House of Lords with an elected 2nd chamber) before it can even be a candidate.

The UK position after no deal will be much weaker, as the EU rules for negotiations with a third country are much worse than under article 50.

@thomasbisschoff7136 The democratic thing is following the will of the parliament, because they are, unlike Johnson and his cabinet, elected by the people.

@iakona23 Your version of the EU`s future is project fear. You are writing nonsense without any proof or source. Do you really believe countries like France, Italy or Poland would give up their independence or sovereignty? I plan to live in an Union of independent sovereign nations, where we solve issues via cooperation and compromise, having shared values and standards, as the EU is now.

Did the public care when the government killed of several of the Windrush generation?

@californiadreamin8423 Yes, one reason why I post here. I am sick of those people killing of the poor and weak because of ignorance, neglect or even hate, and getting away with it without any repercussions.

@thomasbisschoff7136 Just do it, without the necessary preparations, risking the integrity of the UK, peace in Nothern Ireland and basic supplies? A parliament which allows this should really be abolished, as its job is to protect the country, not destroy it.

Is there one famous Brexiter that is not at least a mulitmillionaire?

@crown9413 Large companies can pay the necessary specialists do fill out the WTO paperwork. Small and medium sized businesses can not. No deal Brexit will hurt the later much more. Any proof of the EU funding for the CBI? I am curious. How is the EU a neoliberal project with its workers rights, consumers rights and environmental protection? Why are people like Raab, Davis, Rees-Mogg, Ratcliffe and Dyson, some of the most neoliberal people in the UK, against the EU then?
