@CyberFridge the cybertruck is not safer than required. The safety standards are rather simple: a car is not allowed to have parts falling off.

@CyberFridge well, then let’s circle back to the main issue: aluminium is deteriorating over time, which means it can handle less and less load. Steel does not. If the cyber truck is in the safety margins today, what about in a year, 5 years, 10 years? The cybertruck is already with a lower safety margin than its competitors, has inferior material and is proven to have many design and construction issues.

Considering the many issues the cyber truck already has, the question is: why the aluminium frame and not steel? Was this thought about? Or was it rushed due to pressure from Musks announcements?
