@darrenfleming7901 from an European perspective, democrats are center right, while GOP is extreme right. The political spectrum is relative.

@katdeluxy9608 I would argue that only two parties are not a healthy democracy, as they always only represent a limited spectrum. Other countries have more parties and a different democratic system (PR), which results in a more compromising climate, less confrontational. It also reduces the us vs them mentality significantly.
