This was an amazing conversation that I'm going to have to listen to a few times because her ideas are so intense! I am very grateful for this one! Thank you!

I had to pause. I've been thinking a ton about the "men/women" thing lately. I think.... women are supposed to point where to go, men lead the way. Theotokos points to Christ. Eve pointed Adam to the fruit... she pointed the wrong direction. Adam blamed Eve, but he was supposed to lead.

😆 The thing about the appendix is that it turns out that it IS useful and lazily removing it... the same way they remove tonsils can be detrimental. I think the idea of ripping things apart without knowing what they do reminds me of my little brother deleting files in my computer because he said they were useless. I think it's important to note that religion serves the purpose at the very least of establishing our relationship to everything. Taking it away causes confusion... which is totally evident by the way the new world looks to me.

I like the connections between Orthodoxy and the old world that you illustrated here. It's one of the things I found I love so much about the faith and how it moves organically in new areas. The story of St Herman in Alaska is amazing. There's a channel called Ask A Mortician and that gal is trying to bring about a more positive attitude toward death because our traditions currently are around fear of death and while she does promote the individual choosing what happens to their body after death, I think that she eventually helped me feel more easy with death before a became a Christian. She was a step in the right direction. Now death isn't even scary. I definitely see it as a journey and life is a journey to death. Though, the different kinds of death in the church get a little confusing sometimes. 😆 We are trying to avoid death and think about/meditate on death and it's a joyous tension that really does feel like walking on a tight rope. But I'm beginning to find that tension and all the other tensions to be a really rewarding experience. Thanks for this video!

As Christians, we find the good and shine light on it. Let's be the salt in this melting pot and bring the flavor!

The war between AI/robots and humans won't be this all out physical battle. At least at first, anyway. Its a spiritual battle we must undertake. But to summon this god, this beast from the spiritual realm, we sacrifice to it our telos. If we no longer have purpose or meaning in life, we will wither and die. It will suck life out of us. Especially if it's creating our art. Will we sacrifice our inheritance?

I definitely stop all I am doing to listen to conversations with Unce Seth. But I had not heard the conversation you linked, so I hopped over there right quick to listen and I stopped part of the way through to say this: The way they talk in a way as if they are speaking to children and how they repeat themselves leaves me very unsettled. It's like brainwashing or power of suggestion kind of stuff. Like the affirmation cassettes that people used to create a positive mindset while sleeping. It makes me feel sick to my stomach.

I found your channel around a time when I was feeling very confused and overwhelmed by the rapid changes over the past few years. What I enjoyed the most, was the ability to see the perspectives of people over time and see how it was possible that people in the past were also a little confused and overwhelmed by the changes happening around them. I found this comforting, and it honestly helped me cope. I appreciate having an honest look at the perspectives of others throughout time and history. Thanks for the work you do, sir.

@heavythingslightly Maybe the old world dies, but is reborn. I was talking to my priest one day about trying to get back to something like the past and he said "we can't go back." And I told him that we might not be able to go back to the way things were, but if we walked out of the house without our keys, we have to go back and get them or we aren't going anywhere.
