@saintpreferred9223 The first sentence is correct, the second is not. CA ranks very well on most quality-of-life measures. Its problems are very serious, but wildly exaggerated by detractors.

@danielheartsill4269 CA is a victim of its own success. The cost of living, specifically housing (supply & demand) spiked and then the damn NIMBYs get in the way of building new housing. They're the ones to blame and oppose, politically speaking. The Red states in general rank the worst in most standard-of-living measures, often much worse than CA.
