Why? It helps prevent long lines at the polls.
10
Why not? Some states do it entirely that way.
8
Because they've been postmarked early enough. There's no evidence that this has anything to do with fraud. Some places do it entirely by mail.
8
As in, "go away."
7
It's warranted.
6
How so? There is no evidence of that.
6
On the contrary, it only makes sense if you're trying to stop people from voting. There's no evidence of fraud related to mail-in voting. Some states do it entirely by mail.
6
Such as? The fact is that if ballots are postmarked early enough, they're legitimate. Depending on the numbers of mail-in ballots outstanding, the winner can usually be declared on Election Day anyway.
5
Some states do it entirely that way. It's fine. There's no evidence of a problem. Do you understand that it's a good idea to prevent long lines at the polls?
4
Some states vote entirely by mail. It's not a problem.

@carebear4554 That's a solution in search of a problem. That's taken care of when you register. Impersonating a voter makes no sense. All that it would do is cancel out the vote the perpetrator could place anyway.
3
Some states do it entirely via mail. There's no evidence of vote-by-mail causing any problems. Don't you want to avoid long lines at the polls?

Evidence?

@asdfasdfasdf4746 Normalcy? When?
2
If they were postmarked early enough, what's the problem?

@AmyMorrison-nl6fu They do know that he's a rapist, among other things, right?

@JohnWayne-d1s Inflation is a global problem that has little to do with any particular President. If there's anything that will make the problem worse, it's tariffs. Economists are nearly unanimous on that.

@johncagle8355 The Democrats are a neoliberal capitalist party. I know communists. They can't abide Democrats.

@carolm.4214 I was under that impression as well. However, not everyone drives. Among other reasons, a lot of people don't have voter ID. There's also the problem of voting taking place on a weekday, insufficient polling places in certain areas, lack of transportation, etc. It's a solution in search of a problem. There is next to no evidence that voter impersonation is occurring. Besides, it just cancels out the vote that the imposter could cast anyway. Also, some states vote entirely by mail, and there's no problem.
1
@carolm.4214 There's no comparison. Lines would be very long otherwise, and that's a deterrent to many people: Lots have dependents that they cannot leave lone for long periods. Others have health issues that prevent them from waiting that long. I could go on, but note that some states vote entirely by mail, with no problems.

@lloydbarnes7847 That's not feasible, and besides, there's next to no evidence of this sort of thing leading to fraud. Some states vote entirely by mail with no problems.
