  12. Yeah, and lots of people don't realize that the US has had (very hypothetical) plans to invade Canada over the years. I think that such plans have always included seizing Halifax, so that the Royal Navy would have a very difficult time intervening.

  15. I would hope for British and French nuclear subs surfacing in NYC and Boston harbors, offloading crates of weapons and other supplies. If full-size ships (and planes) could get to both coasts (most of which are liberal), it's over for the Trumpists.

The point is that it's good to be prepared regarding your own fascists, not to mention whatever ours might do, considering how many refugees/asylees might flee north. Also, in the event that the shooting starts, anti-fascist militants would probably hang out north of the border if necessary.
