  3.  @peterkotara  I don't know about that one way or another, but the point is that cats in the wild are subject to predators (including humans!), cars, poisons, and so on. Cats also hunt for sport, and they can cause serious damage to local bird populations.

  4.  @EmilyBieman  It's a good idea to take cats out on walks and stuff, but the fact is that it's unsafe out there. (It's not like with children. The paranoia over letting them roam is ludicrous. That's different.)
