@donaldwert7137 No, that's different. No one should speak to the police without an attorney. It doesn't matter what the circumstances are. This can save your life. Similarly, in court, there are good reasons to not answer certain questions. It's an important, even crucial right that we all have, and should use.

@donaldwert7137 Sure thing. There was/is a video that went viral, in which a law professor explains all of this in a very engaging manner. Search for "Don't Talk to the Police." You'll see it, along with a follow-up, and similar videos from defense attorneys who say the same thing. Hell, cops tell their own kids to follow the same advice.
