I'm glad that this report actually mentions that there are almost no visas for lower-skilled workers.

I had to look up "White Claw." Also, I hope that none of the cats went missing.
21
Blurry pit bulls are the worst kind.
17
@eldeividbass I didn't say "unskilled," as there is no such thing as unskilled labor. The fact is that the kind of work that we're talking about requires no complicated skills.
6
@monkeykinggames5527 There are almost no visas for lower-skilled workers. Even if this legislation causes chaos in the agricultural sector, I don't think that it will change things much. The same people who complain the most about undocumented migrants are the same people who show no interest in making more visas available. The truth is that they're afraid (at minimum) of demographic change.
6
True. Also, it's "you're," not "your."
3
@edukaeshn True; they tend to do that all over the country. Don't talk to the police without an attorney.
3
Keep in mind that juvenile delinquency has dropped like a brick since then.
2
Don't talk to the police without an attorney.
2
@eldeividbass True! I'm referring to the need for training and such.
2
@Ark-Angel44 Look up "castle doctrine." There's no dwarfing. Nearly every place has the same law, just with subtle variations.
2
That depends in part on what they said while talking to the police, which one should never do! Don't talk to the police without an attorney.
2
If we lose Roe, there will only be more of this sort of thing.
2
@Serjo777 One of the characteristics of being a minor is the inability to consent to sex with adults.
2
No, that's not true. Juvenile delinquency has dropped sharply in the past 25 years or so.
1
Thankfully, this sort of thing is much less common than it once was.
1
Does that mean leaving the house, or just falling back? In NJ it's the latter, but you can still defend yourself.
1
@jerryschultz70 In NJ, while one is required to try and fall back, it doesn't require leaving the house.
1
Juvenile delinquency has actually dropped sharply over the past 25-30 years.
1
It's just an investigation of a shooting.
1
Capital punishment is actually more expensive.
1
@professorchaos5058 You don't know what you're talking about.
1
@Lubbocksfinest Men who have gone through this often have lifelong problems with healthy relationships, among other things!
1
@user-yg1dg6xm2g Minors can't consent.
1
@nicholasl8249 Most men who have gone through this have lifelong problems with forming healthy relationships, understanding trust and consent, boundaries, etc. Do you think that this should be legal?
1
@nocturnalrecluse1216 Regarding patriarchy maybe you should listen to the so-called "preaching." You might learn something.
1
@jt-nixon2102 The fantasies of young boys don't reflect the reality that this does a lot of damage.
1
@guitarttimman That's not true. This does a lot of psychological damage to men who have gone through it, and mental health professionals know this very well. Do you want it to be legal?
1
@carewser Mental health professionals and others who work with men who have been through this know that you are completely wrong. Do you think that it should be legal?
1
@carewser Your anecdote isn't data.
1
@deviouslito5011 Speak for yourself. This behavior does a lot of harm, and attitudes like yours make it worse. Should this be legal?
1
@Scorch1028 He didn't score. He was molested. You're right in that men who have been through this usually have severe problems with forming healthy relationships.
1
@guitarttimman You're saying that this is a good thing. Should it then be legal, in your opinion?
1
@jt-nixon2102 What boys think that they would love doesn't jibe with the actual outcomes. Those who work with men who've been through this make that clear.
1
@guitarttimman What was the age of consent where you were? Did she have a power relationship over you? Do you, from your (let's face it) limited vantage point, feel that the laws should be the same no matter the sexes involved: man-boy, woman-boy, man-girl, woman-girl?
1
@carewser I don't live with my mother, and please get a more original phrase.
1
@carewser Ok, so you do at least understand that it's harmful for adults of any sex to engage in sexual activity with minors of any sex.
1
NY's laws are similar to FL's.
1
FL's crime rate isn't close to the best.
1
If it looks like it might help, competent defense attorneys will do that. That's their job.
1
Security measures are not a bad thing, but invasions are very rare, and they were more common in previous decades.
1
Blurry pit bulls, like the one in this video, are even worse!
1
@hebercloward1695 Read CA's law on the subject. They're allowed to do the same thing.
1
@mexdani86 Sure thing!
1
While she was trying to get pictures of them, yeah, it was a deadly mistake.

That's not what "psychotic" means, but that's beside the point.

1
@scottmichael3745 You don't know what you're talking about.
1
@tedk2166 Speak for yourself. I am outraged, because I know how much damage this does. Do you think that this should be legal?
