  2. I agreed with you for a long time. However, my attitudes changed in part due to all the examples of defensive gun use, and to a larger extent due to the rise of fascist elements in this country (the US). I'm part-Jewish (and have political stances anathema to reactionaries), and when I say "Never Again," I mean it. I look at the Burmese people battling against their government, and at the people of Rojava besieged on all sides, and I see the importance of the right to bear arms.
