Note that since the vast majority of abortions present as miscarriages, that hypothetically means that any miscarriage in the country could be an abortion, would hypothetically require investigation. The anti-choicers aren't entirely sure what to do about that, for the most part.

It refers to the criteria that make killing wrong: sentience, the will to live, biological autonomy, and all the other things that are taken away when someone is killed. In a rudimentary but real way, babies have that. Embryos & fetuses do not and cannot. There's no harm in not being born.

  30. That's actually logical; if one thinks that embryos are tantamount to babies, then such exceptions don't make sense. A lot of anti-choicers don't actually seem to think that, or they wouldn't support such exceptions (and they would oppose IVF, etc.). Thus, it's really just a desire to punish people for having sex. Sometimes they say as much.

  34.  @isaidwhatisaid484  Many POC can't get the needed IDs due to lack of money, time, transportation, etc. Getting to the polling places can also be very difficult for some, and efforts to restrict vote-by-mail are targeted at them. Note that some states have had vote-by-mail only for years, with no problems.
