@isaidwhatisaid484 Many POC can't get the needed IDs due to lack of money, time, transportation, etc. Getting to the polling places can also be very difficult for some, and efforts to restrict vote-by-mail are targeted at them. Note that some states have had vote-by-mail only for years, with no problems.

@robinsss No, it's been analyzed, and sometimes stated openly, that Black voters have a more difficult time satisfying the needless ID requirements. Impersonating another voter would only cancel out the vote an impersonator could cast anyway.

@wrightwing3992 For one thing, anecdotes are not data. For another, Asian immigrants have faced a lot, but never redlining, among many other things.

@isaidwhatisaid484 Yes, those voting laws are explicitly designed to shave off Democratic votes, based on disingenuous claims of fraud. Also, blaming the Great Society for all of this is such tired boilerplate.

@MrXtraconservative There is no such fraud. Trying to impersonate another voter would only cancel out the vote the impersonator would make themselves. The necessary voter IDs are not free, and often require time and money and transportation to access, which a lot of people don't actually have (did you know that?). There are cases where Republicans have stated explicitly what their motives are for voter suppression. In some places they've tried to make student IDs insufficient, while gun licenses are fine. In the process, they've said that they want fewer students to vote. It's disingenuous and shameful.

@robinsss It costs money, time, transportation, etc., among other obstacles.

@syasyaishavingfun They know who you are because you have registered. Impersonating a voter would only cancel out the vote you could make anyway. It's completely disingenuous.

@missano3856 Election Day is on a weekend in a lot of countries. Voting is required in others. They want people to vote. It's not a privilege.
