I wouldn't say that. Juvenile delinquency is actually much less common today than it once was. Kevin Drum at Mother Jones has done great work on this subject.

@nicholasthomas3635 Not this again. The homicide rate in Chicago is still below its 1992 peak (and homicides are pretty concentrated in certain areas), and what does Chicago have to do with this?

@goosergone143 You're quite right. While there has been an upswing in homicide since the pandemic, the numbers are still well below their peak (which occurred in about 1990 or so).
