To be clear, I am a leftist (hard left, not liberal) gun owner. Socialist Rifle Association, to be precise. The vast majority of gun deaths in this country, well over 90% are carried out via stolen handguns, not long guns of any form. Also, being disarmed in the face of a genuine fascist movement is fatally foolish. There's a book called "This Nonviolent Stuff'll Get You Killed: How guns made the civil rights movement possible;" I mention that in case you were about to come out me with "But what about MLK/Gandhi/etc." Get armed in some way, folks. Time is running out, and it might get ugly.
