@rager4able One can't prove a negative, but anyway: Personhood consists of the criteria by which we decide that killing is wrong- sentience, the will to live, biological autonomy, and everything else that's taken away when a person is killed. Babies have that in a rudimentary but real way. Embryos and fetuses don't and can't. There's no harm in not being born.

@mobius4897 I thought about it. I've typed that sentence hundreds of times, if not more. What's so strange to you?

@rager4able It's a philosophical question about what makes killing wrong. No, it can't all be applied to a person outside the womb (which is redundant), but sometimes some of it can. That leads to other ethical discussions/arguments.

@rager4able I already answered your first couple of questions. I can elaborate if need be. Regarding comatose people (as usual; people bring this up so often), they were obviously persons before the coma, and they're not tied to & dependent upon the body of a host. Life support is discontinued on a case-by-case basis.
