That's the most important reason why no one should talk to the police without an attorney. That includes questioning, even if one is not under arrest.

@vincenzopinto702 Come up with a different line, please. This attitude just makes boys more reluctant to come forward.
23
Don't talk to the police without an attorney!
21
@mcren6781 No. It harms boys just as it does girls.
17
Exactly, that's why no one should talk to the police without an attorney.
17
@vious2561 What's so funny?
15
@dudebro91-fn7rz As a matter of fact, yes. Not due to being hit on, although that's creepy. Mental health professionals make it very clear that boys who go through this tend to have very serious problems with boundaries, trust, and forming healthy relationships of all kinds. It can get even worse, depending on the circumstances. Attitudes like yours make it worse; boys/men are afraid to come forward, in part because they get this message that what happened to them is supposedly a good thing. Do you think that such behavior by women should be legal? What about all the other combinations of sexes (woman-girl, man-boy, man-girl)?
9
@leannabowers7534 Note also that cops are under no legal obligation to protect anyone.
7
Perhaps not 100%, but he would be in danger. There are so many cases like that. That's why no one should talk to the police without an attorney.
7
That's not what "random" means. A random person would be someone chosen at random, off the proverbial sidewalk. You're correct otherwise.
6
@colinsss3019 That's why no one should speak to the police without an attorney.
6
@mickfitz76 That's not true at all. Seriously, mental health professionals are very clear on how this behavior causes a lot of psychological problems, particularly with forming healthy relationships, understanding boundaries, consent, etc. If you think that this is so great, do you think that it should be legal?
6
TV teaches us that only villains ask for an attorney.
5
This behavior is psychologically damaging to minors, no matter the sexes involved. Do you think that it should be legal?
5
@HeShoeTooBig No, this isn't what "teachers are like." These cases stand out because they're perverse. Most kids who get victimized in this way are at home when it happens, with someone they trust.
4
@RevealMaster Minors can't give consent! This does a lot of psychological damage. Do you think that it should be legal?
4
@droo3010 Are you serious? What minors want is not necessarily good for them. Do you think that it should be legal?
4
@Cam1an *you're
4
@Casoda What teens want is not necessarily good for them. Most of the time, this causes a lot of psychological damage, yes, including the boys.
3
So once again, so many men need to learn that it is not a good thing when women do this to boys. It causes serious psychological harm with forming healthy relationships, boundaries, consent, etc.
3
@dsab381 No, serious psychological damage that often manifests later on. Mental health professionals make it clear that this can cause significant problems with forging healthy relationships, boundaries, consent, etc. Do you think that it should be legal?
3
This behavior is psychologically damaging to minors, no matter the sexes involved.
3
@rafv8704 True, but that's not what the word "random" means.
3
@John_Wick546 I know, and it's terrible.
3
He should have not said anything to the police without an attorney. He got very lucky.
3
This behavior is psychologically damaging to minors, no matter the sexes involved.
3
Don't talk to the cops without an attorney!
2
He made the terrible mistake of talking to the police without an attorney.
2
@Idkkkmisskitty Indeed. Those attitudes are part of the problem. Men who've been through this feel like there's something wrong with them when they don't have positive feelings about it all.
2
@mikeshelogowski434 It does a lot of damage.
2
@ZimCrusher I hope that this didn't affect her career or anything. There's nothing at all wrong with posing nude, while there's a lot wrong with doing anything sexual with minors! This causes a lot of psychological harm, yes, even to boys.
2
@calebfielding6352 Homes are more dangerous than schools.
2
@makeitmakesense3292 It's not funny.
2
Indeed. He should have asked for a lawyer! Don't talk to the cops without one.
2
This behavior is psychologically damaging to minors, no matter the sexes involved.
2
I know; it's exasperating how many adults don't know to stay quiet.
2
Don't talk to the police without an attorney.
2
This behavior is psychologically damaging to minors, no matter the sexes involved.
2
This behavior is psychologically damaging to minors, no matter the sexes involved.
2
Yes, I know the reference, but the fact is that this behavior is very harmful to the boys involved. Mental health professionals make it clear that it can cause longstanding problems with forging healthy relationships, boundaries, consent, etc. It's terrible.
2
What are you trying to say? What does one have to do with another?
1
There are a few videos showing people actually escape, in that they ditched the cars in parking garages, or disappeared into vast apartment complexes, and so on.
1
Why apologize?
1
should *have

Don't talk to the police without an attorney.

Elsewhere, thankfully.
1
@landonmiles97 Unfortunately, the harm is often understood years later, but sometimes it's more immediate.
1
@IvanSacofski What makes you think that?
