  3.  @WOLFanddBEAR  This "losing," which is really just melding, is a natural, harmless process. There's nothing intrinsic about cultures. It's arbitrary, depending on how one is born/reared. Regarding France, the cops lied about killing someone. Mass, uncontrolled immigration was a boon to the post-WWII UK; between 1948-1962 about 1/4 of the planet's population could theoretically immigrate to the UK with no legal trouble. It was a boon to Israel in the 1990s, and it was at worst a wash in South Florida after the Mariel Boatlift. Besides, that's not what's happening in France anyway. (Also: "lose," not "loose.")

  8.  @Iorvethh Yes. Borders are arbitrary, created by ruling classes centuries ago (or sometimes more recently!) to divide the masses from one another. Also, economists across the spectrum make it clear that there are costs to sovereignty. It makes us poorer.
