If you're referring to crime, keep in mind that the Great Crime Decline that began in the early '90s is mostly still with us. The news makes people think that things are worse than they really are. Look up "Mean World Syndrome."

@geronimotanto2229 Knock it off. There's absolutely no connection. There was an upswing in homicides during and just after the pandemic, but things have leveled off and regressed towards the mean. The Great Crime Decline is mostly still with us.
