  1. I don't know, I'm thinking about how this topic came up in different ways during my history studies. Someone would probably put each professor into that "liberal academic" category, but nobody was under any illusions about the Native Americans being "noble savages" or anything like that. Everything was in the open.

  3.  @roryoliver6743  That's not true. Free movement of peoples within the EU didn't lead to overwhelming masses of Bulgarians and Romanians heading to Scandinavia. Some did, but they went where the jobs were at any given time. Migrants follow jobs, not safety nets. Even conservative economists will tell you that.

  4.  @LB_die_Kaapie  The settlers started to notice that when they arrived, the indigenous people started to die. That led to the use of smallpox blankets.

  5.  @MrSpaceinvader95  Actually no, the early settlers were nearly wiped out by disease/starvation due to their own cluelessness. Also, yes, there's plenty of documented genocidal words and deeds on the part of the white settlers, lasting for a long time. Of course the natives acted that way towards each other sometimes. That doesn't make it OK!

  10.  @iHaveTheDocuments  That's a canard. I'm well-qualified to talk about the radical left, and I can tell you that the things mentioned in this video are no secrets. It's all important to understand. None of it, however (and this is the point), allows one to shrug off the reality of genocide, ongoing marginalization, and much more.
