  1. Most people don't know this, but Israel was founded thanks to groups like Irgun and the Stern Gang (Lehi). These organizations shot and bombed British peacekeepers to force a power vacuum in Palestine, just a few years after the same British troops did so much to defeat the Nazi regime. The lack of gratitude is reprehensible. Note that Menachem Begin and Yitzak Shamir were both involved with those terrorist organizations.
