  2.  @parkerteo8708  Sure, I get that part. That was a foolish thing to say! Notice that (this is shown in the overhead video) that once the shooting starts, that parking lot clears out in a couple of seconds. The only people around are Rittenhouse and the people who tried to save Rosenbaum. Rittenhouse has enough time to hang around for close to a minute, stare at Rosenbaum, then call his friend (and not 911, which one is supposed to do), and then flee the scene while still on the phone! That leads to the militia member's observation that after that moment, Rittenhouse looked like an active shooter who was escaping. That's all that the people on the street could tell.

  10.  @parkerteo8708  I don't mean a mass shooter, just an active shooter. People were yelling to others that he had shot someone, and presumably everyone had heard the flurry of gunfire, hence the impression that they got. That's the testimony/accounts that witnesses gave

  12. He didn't expect a gun fight, obviously, but he understandably perceived an active shooter. Even the militia member says it was a heroic reaction.
