  2.  @DA-ti6pc  No, it was indeed a coup attempt, or at least a putsch. They were seeking to disrupt the final certification of the election results, and were within a few yards of lynching lawmakers.

  3.  @DA-ti6pc  I don't watch CNN (or TV at all, except for these sorts of clips online). The attackers were yelling that they wanted to hang Pence, they were calling for Pelosi, they tried to barge into offices, they had flexi-cuffs and weaponry, etc. They wanted (this is not in dispute) to keep Trump in power. Some of them were indeed well-trained, and had been planning for some time. It was a coup attempt, or at least a putsch. The ignorance and arrogance of the perpetrators is beside the point.
