  1. Yeah, I agree, and yet lots of people in the comments sections are saying that in their countries it's perfectly normal. I don't get it. (Now, I confess that I have seriously considered crashing a wedding to get some free food, as I have been in dire financial straits lately.)

  2. If the host has paid for the food etc., isn't it a problem if strangers show up? Also, how does one prevent bad-news people from coming?

  7. I don't understand this. People you don't know are liable to eat all the food you paid for. They might cause other, more serious trouble. Don't you pay a deposit on the venue? Lots of things can go wrong!
